We recommending drafting your reflection in a word processor, then pasting it into the form.

Tip: Do it at the conference before you head home. It'll feel good to have it done!

Welcome to this TIE Credits Page!

We offer two kinds of professional credit for your participation at the TIE conference - you choose either:

Grad credits from the University of Colorado Denver, offered by the master's program in Information and Learning Technologies.
Recertification credits offered by the instructor Brent Wilson as a service to TIE.

The signup procedure is different for each form of credit - see the post below for instructions. You do the same work for either form of credit - attend the conference and participate actively in sessions, then submit a reflection on your experience.

If you're not sure which form of credit is best for you, check with school or district colleagues, or call your district's personnel office. Many districts use grad credits for moving up the salary scale.

Getting Registered

Brent will man a Credits Table during selected hours at Copper Mountain. He will have registrations materials there.

UCD Credit
Return a completed registration form to Brent at the Credits Table or via fax or email attachment no later than 15 July (sorry, no exceptions).

You may register for grad credits before the conference starts. Follow the directions on the Credit Instructions sheet; see the Resources links to the left.

Note: Registering for the grad credit is different from submitting your report to the website. You must submit the registration form and complete the directions on the instruction sheet in order to be get a grade for the TIE conference (both forms are under Resources to the left).

Recertification Credits
In years past attendees have signed in at the credits table. Signing in is no longer required - just attend the conference, taking notes of noteworthy learning events. Then you'll submit the same report as those seeking grad credit.
